Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Financial Planner develops personal financial plans for clients
covering cash management, finances, investments, education, retirement and estate planning. He/she analyzes
clients’ financial records, sets goals and develops a financial strategy as well as advises clients on implementing the
financial plan to help them achieve their goals. Promote and provide financial planning services to current and former
CF members, and their families.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field, AND several years
experience in financial services.
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field, AND several
years of experience in financial services.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional designation or equivalent , an asset
License for the sale of mutual funds
License for the sale of life insurance (Ontario), an asset
Language Requirement: English essential, bilingual an asset
French Language Proficiency (Bilingual an asset)
Reading Comprehension 2
Written expression 2
Oral interaction 3
Level: N/A(No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional)

Experience Requirements:

  • In the provision of financial planning and investment services
  • In building long term relationships with clients
  • In organizing and delivering presentations to large audiences
  • In providing investment advice
  • In preparation of written financial plans
  • In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, e-mail and Internet browsing

Salary: $64,390 – $75,770
