Program Staff

Work Location: Nick Smith Centre
Reports to: Pool/Program Supervisor
Hourly Wage: $11.60/hour (Minimum Wage)
Schedule: Work hours shall vary depending on operational needs. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
The Town of Arnprior is currently inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill a part-time position of Program Staff. Reporting to the Pool/Program Supervisor of the Client Services Department, the position will provide operational support to the Recreation Program Coordinator by providing direct leadership to various recreational programs offered by the Nick Smith Centre, for all segments of the community. The responsibilities will include direct leadership and instruction of recreational programs, facilitation of individuals and group activities, all while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. The Program Staff will also provide ongoing customer service to the public, and assist with general set-up and clean-up of program spaces, ensuring they are safe and tidy. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, maintain a professional demeanour at all times while dealing with the public, physically capable to perform general labour and maintenance duties. Assets will include First Aid and CPR certification(s), previous experience facilitating recreational programs and knowledge of occupational health and safety.
