Job Overview

PTAG is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for our client working on a Nuclear Project.  The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing contracts as assigned by the Manager. Key accountabilities relating to the management of the contract and relationship between the buyer and seller.

Location: Chalk River, ON

Type of Employment : Contract

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a team, provides administrative assistance with developing and producing documentation, ensuring that the documents are complete, of the highest quality and are issued on time
  • Develops and maintains administrative systems, as required
  • Plans and organizes schedules, meetings and travel arrangements for the Director, Managers and other members of the project
  • Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time-and-attendance records, forms control, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures (Example: Expedite timekeeping-reporting input for department and prepare weekly reports for managers’ signoff)
  • Maintains central/department-filing system
  • Assists in development of presentation materials for the group
  • In collaboration with the Director, may compose semi-routine correspondence/memos, letters, minutes of meetings, reports, and other correspondence
  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment in conjunction with the Alstom environmental health and safety programs
  • Complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Environmental Health and Safety Management System procedures and work instructions along with local safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience using databases
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
