The Pembroke Regional Hospital requires one (1) Administrative Assistant to work in the VP Corporate and Support Services office. This position is offered on a Temporary Full-Time basis.
The Administrative Assistant provides confidential secretarial and administrative support to the CEO or Vice President, Directors and Managers supporting committee work in an environment requiring extreme confidentiality and discretion.
Two year Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field from a community college.
Demonstrated minimum typing speed of 60 wpm which will be evaluated through standardized test
Medical Terminology certificate which will be evaluated through standardized test (a pass is at least 70%)
Experience in working with and the administration of contracts and project management expertise an asset.
Previous experience with human resources related activities and payroll and/or scheduling software.
Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment where exacting work and related tight time frames exist
Must have the ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines
Working knowledge of office practices
Demonstrated excellent communication, judgment and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to create and work with databases
Bilingualism is preferred
