Description:
Camp Lau-Ren is a camp of the United Church of Canada.  We are located on the Ottawa River, 10 kilomentres west of Deep River. We provide residential ,three-day camps and six-night summer camps (Tadpole Camp for 6-8 year olds). Our Leaders-in-Training Camp runs alongside the Senior Camp, and registration is limited.  We offer one all-girls camp and the remainder are co-ed. Children enjoy canoeing, paddle boarding, archery, swimming, life study, crafts, sports, campfires and so much more.

All children are welcome. Subsidies are available for children who need financial assistance to attend our summer camp. If you want to make a difference in a young person’s life, then working at Camp Lau-Ren is for you!  We support a healthy enjoyable work experience for all our staff.

We are recruiting for an Assistant Cook. This is a seasonal position working from June 24 to August 21.

Qualifications
  • Self-motivated person
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to prepare food in an efficient, timely manner under the direction of the head cook
  • Minimum age of 18 is preferred
  • Support other staff members as needed
