Description:
A Renfrew business is looking to add a full-time in-house Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to their growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining general ledgers and posting journal entries in Simply Accounting
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Maintaining accounts payable and receivable and reporting
  • Calculating and preparing cheques
  • Preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports etc.
  • Calculation and payment of Quarterly HST – Receiver General Reconciliation
  • End of fiscal year taxation
  • Bi-weekly payroll
  • Preparing dictated quotes
  • Liaise with Government, WSIB agencies, other organizations and groups
  • Spreadsheet data entry
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • College diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting
  • Simply Accounting is mandatory (two years experience or certificate)
  • Payroll experience – two years minimum
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a busy office environment
