The County of Renfrew is seeking a highly motivated, results-focused and effective team player to implement a variety of capital projects in the Public Works & Engineering Department. The Capital Projects Coordinator will assist with the scope and definition of projects, and will be responsible for the design, tendering, construction and commissioning of the projects using internal and external resources, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, the candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and will be able to act professionally while maintaining a focus on the tasks at hand and the desired results.
The ideal candidate will be a Certified Engineering Technologist or engineer, and will have a college diploma or university degree in Civil Engineering. The candidate will have three or more years of project management experience, preferably in a municipal public works environment, in the areas of design and contract administration of municipal road and bridge infrastructure projects. Competency in the use of Computer Aided Design Application Software along with a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are also required. Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in the Province of Ontario will be considered an advantage.
