Description:
Smitty’s Home Hardware in Pembroke is a family owned and operated building supply company. In addition to our building supply services, we offer a variety of additional services that include key cutting, paint colour matching, propane tank refills, re-key locks and special orders. We also provide home and cottage building designs. Located in Laurentian Valley between Pembroke and Petawawa, we are a busy store, open seven days a week.

We are currently recruiting for a Cashier. This is a part-time position of 12 to 20 hours per week. This position does include weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Waiting on customers and answering any inquiries they have
  • Operating the cash register and completing shift paperwork
  • Basic clean-up of work station
  • Miscellaneous small jobs (ie: stacking near-cash display items) as required
Qualifications
  • Professional, reliable and friendly person
  • Enjoy customer service
  • Can work without constant supervision
  • Can handle a fast-paced environment
  • A team player and willing to work with other associates and staff
  • Someone who pays attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the store or general hardware is an asset
  • Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred
