Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the Catering Supervisor assists with the day-to-day planning and organizing of food production and service for catered functions. He/she prepares catering estimates and final invoices as well as supervises catering staff.
Qualifications:
College diploma or certificate in hospitality, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field AND some years experience in hospitality, food and beverage service sector
OR
High school diploma AND several years experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field, including supervisory experience
AND
A valid Driver’s License (ON)
Language Requirement: English Essential
Experience Requirements:
In supervising hospitality services
In organizing banquets and functions
In safe food handling practices and procedures
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In food preparation techniques, methods and procedures
In calculating and controlling food costs
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
Salary: $12.24/hr – $17.95/hr
