POSITION OVERVIEW

The FSR will provide technical and field service engineering support to the customers in support of their CH-147F aircraft. The FSR must be capable of utilizing expert level technical and company knowledge of CH-147F airframe and dynamic systems to assist the customer in achieving and sustaining a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the aircraft.

The FSR will provide advice and guidance to maintainers and leaders in order to attain and sustain maximum operational readiness. The FSR will function as the primary technical contact to the customer and must possess the tact, verbal and written communication skills necessary to interface with customer and company organizations. The FSR will provide guidance and instruction in the use of maintenance publications, procedures, specialized test equipment and provide technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance issues.

The FSR shall serve as liaison to Chinook Fleet Support for the exchange of information relative to maintenance on the aircraft including notifications of urgent maintenance difficulties and troubleshooting requirements. FSR provides field operation and /or support of delivered equipment. FSR coordinates the development of advanced troubleshooting procedures to isolate equipment problems not detected by tactical diagnostics/documentation. FSR provides interpretation of technical documents to customer when required. Recognizes customer requirements and develops on-the-job training programs. Solves highly complex technical problems; assists and advises others in resolving technical issues. Guides others and works under minimal direction.

Leads planning and integration activities at the Medium to Heavy Lift (MHLH) Main Operating Base for Boeing provided support of Customer operations. Applies advanced job principles, theories, and concepts for all product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.

Responsibilities also include working with several onsite suppliers along with Boeing personnel to provide support to the Customer.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountable to the Medium to Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Manager for all support to the customer at their facility in executing the In Service Support Contract.

Must have some hands on CH-47F maintenance or FSR experience with a heavy emphasis on Airframe systems is required. ACS knowledge and experience is an asset.

Ability to travel to meet business needs.

Ability to work co-located with Military customer

Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices is preferred.

Have the right to work in Canada and must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
