Whitewater Brewing Company was founded by three good friends in 2011 on the banks of the Mighty Ottawa River. The three of us have had many adventures that have taken us from the incredible rivers of Ontario & Quebec to the mountain-fed creeks of British Columbia, from the deep canyons of the Colorado River, to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. One constant that has remained strong throughout this journey is our return to the heart of the Ottawa Valley to share our great adventures with great friends.

Our beer is made for friends by friends. We have five original beers, in addition to many seasonal offerings. Our most recent additions include Legion Lager – a partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion where proceeds help support veterans, and KLR 93 – crafted with Hockey Hall of Fame legend Doug Gilmour.

In addition to our brewing facilities, we also have two restaurants; our Lakeside Brew Pub, located in Cobden and our Riverside Brew Pub located in Forester’s Falls. Our grub features the highest quality, seasonal produce that we can get our hands on in the Ottawa Valley. Supporting the local community is our priority, and that is why we tell you exactly where your food and drinks come from.

We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the chef’s exact specifications and to set up stations for menu. This position is full-time and will work out of both of our locations. Position will begin immediately.

The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals as well as provide suggestions for locally sourced menu items.


  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Commercial kitchen experience not necessary but a definite asset
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Knowledge of seasonal ingredients and eagerness to use them in creative and delicious recipes

Salary dependent on experience.
