Lavern Heideman & Sons Limited is a family-owned forestry company in operation since 1974. Our operations include forest management, two sawmills, a re-manufacturing operation, a planning mill, and a distribution yard. We highly value sustainable, renewable and safe forestry.

We are looking for a lumber yard labourer to work at our facilitates in Eganville, Ontario. At Heideman, we are always looking to develop our internal talent. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for advancement within our organization.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying and stacking lumber.
  • Work outside year-round with direct exposure to the elements.
  • Contribute to keeping work facilitates clean and organized.
  • Work safely and collaboratively with co-workers at all time.
  • Other duties as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bring a consistently positive attitude to the workplace.
  • Able to work repetitive tasks daily.
  • Effective at working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs from knee height to waist height for an extended period of time.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Prior experience in lumber yards or in construction is an asset.
  • A high school diploma is an asset but not a requirement.
