The Machine Operator is probationary in-training position who is responsible to ensure the safe, efficient operation, cleaning of and running adjustments for their machines and equipment. Responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting machine basic performance, making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.
Upon successful training the successful candidate will then be transferred to a permanent full-time position within the Moulding line.

The successful candidate will:
 Maintain high production numbers for daily goals
 Produce product with an emphasis on quality
 Operate complex machinery and make running adjustments as required
 Follow all Company policies and operating procedures
 Provide feedback as required to improve machine performance
 Complete all assigned Quality checks
 Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
 Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
 Performs other duties as assigned

 Maintains respectful communication with co-workers and supervisory staff
 Familiar with the Company’s policies/processes and understands the impact of this position on the competitiveness and performance of the company
 Complies with and follows Health & Safety policies and programs

 Proof of High School diploma, GED or equivalent and/or acceptable work experience

 Experience in operating different automated machines and equipment (i.e. saws, automated paint equipment, strapping and wrapping equipment)
 Forklift experience would be considered an asset

 Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts
 Forklift experience would be considered an asset
 Experience with routine maintenance operations; mechanically inclined
 Highly punctual
 Able to work as a functioning member of a team
 Strong work ethic
 Ability to work independently in a busy environment
 Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
 Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
 Able to work well under pressure
 Strong attention to detail
 Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
