RVH is a fully accredited facility, offering surgical, medical,and complex continuing care. Special inpatient services include an Emergency Department, medical imaging, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, oncology, a sleep laboratory, special care unit, palliative care and more.
We are currently recruiting for a Nurse Manager, Continuing Care/Corporate Educator. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and working as an integral member of the nurse management team, the Nurse Manager, Continuing Care, is accountable for all aspects of patient care within the 24-bed unit, and leads the senior friendly hospital initiative. The Corporate Educator is responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing education for nursing and allied health departments, along with development of evidence-based practice standards.
|The ideal candidate possesses a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Master’s degree in nursing or related field and a combination of clinical and managerial experience. The individual can competently prepare and assess financial documentation, manage human and material resources, develop programs, policies and procedures and ensure high quality care to patients. The individual’s management style emphasizes commitment, caring and innovation. The person in this role must be a clinically strong, compassionate leader with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment.|
