The mandate of the Renfrew County Coordinated Access Committee is to implement an effective mechanism of county-wide open access to services for children, youth, and their families who have complex and hard-to-serve mental health issues. We provide a single point of access and referrals to programs and services, from residential services to case resolution mechanisms for children and youth up to the age of 18.

We are recruiting for a Service Coordinator for the Renfrew County Coordinated Access Committee. This is a part-time position. This role requires flexible hours averaging 32 hours per month (except during the month of July). The applicant must be available for half-day meeting once a month. Attendance at other community, agency or ministry meetings may be required.

The Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of the coordinated service resolution mechanism for children and yuuth. The Coordinator will review client data, collaborate with the referring agency, chair or facilitate the access and resolution committee (membership comprised of agencies supporting children and youth) resulting, where possible, in flexible and creative service responses.

The Coordinator is responsible to the Coordinated Access Committee and the Ministry of Children and Youth.

  • Masters degree in social work or experience in an equivalent field
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Technological skills
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think and plan creatively at a strategic level
  • Exceptional organizational, budgetary, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good knowledge of local community and social service system
  • Knowledge of regional services for children and youth
  • Bilingualism is an asset
