Shipping Team Leader

Compensation: $52,000 – $60,000

Responsibilities:

• Oversee incoming & outgoing shipping / receiving activities.
• Maintain metrics to monitor & drive process improvements.
• Manage freight and customs broker invoice, audit and payment processes.
• Manage import and export operations to ensure compliance with customs rules and regulations and to meet material flow needs.
• Manage transportation routings and carrier performance.
• Coordinate with external resources such as 3^rd Party Logistics, Brokerages and Warehouse Services.
• Inspect material handling equipment and notify maintenance personnel for repair service.
• Manage a staff of 6+.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of related work experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP & MS-Office software.
• Forklift certification an asset.
• Able to work collaboratively within a face paced and structured environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
