Administrative Assistant – Mess

THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Mess Manager, the Administrative Assistant – Mess provides administrative support, such as research, data entry and compilation, record keeping, creating presentations and reports, photocopying, correspondence, mass mailing distribution and follow-up action. They ensure forms with respect to membership in/out clearance are completed and processed. They order and distribute posting/release gifts for the membership. They type and process correspondence for membership acceptances and resignations. The incumbent also takes reservations and collects payments for entertainment functions.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma and several years of experience in administration
Experience
In office administration and records management
In basic accounting
In invoice and order processing
In organizing meetings and schedules
In drafting and distributing correspondence
In the preparation of reports
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential

OTHER INFORMATION
This is an on-site position. The employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost.
This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
