Valley Manor Inc. is a private, non-profit, 90-bed long-term care facility in Barry’s Bay. We are a dynamic and progressive long-term care home that is a fully accredited facility. We offer quality care in a friendly and welcoming environment with the safety of our residents as our highest priority. Our mission is to provide a home for those who need our care and we are committed to the safety of our residents and in compliance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act legislation.

Valley Manor Long Term Care is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Administrative Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communication both internal and external
  • Critical incent reporting
  • Assist managers throughout the hiring and recruitment process (i.e. recruitment, interviews, references, retention, etc.)
  • General duties such as being the first point of contact in person, by phone or email
  • Provide relief for screeners
  • Prepare the bank deposit and mail
  • Maintain physical copies of all personnel files
  • Management of WSIB including modified return to work and WSIB Form 7 submissions
  • Participation in the accreditation process and on the joint occupational health and safety committee
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Provides backup assistance for the executive coordinator and unit clerk
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of healthcare experience
  • Post-secondary education
  • Administrative certification
  • Computer proficiency
  • Vulnerable sector check valid within the last 6 months (or able to obtain)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, assessment, interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Completes mandatory education as assigned
  • Have a desire for ongoing learning
  • Fully vaccinated as per the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines
