The Town of Petawawa is currently seeking an individual with excellent communication, computer and organizational skills for the contract role of Administrative Support-Receptionist. This is a two-year contract position.

Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Administrative Support-Receptionist is responsible for providing reception, clerical, administrative and program support. Duties include:

  • receiving and responding to customer inquiries by telephone, email, and in person; operating point of sale systems;
  • reconciling receipts and preparing bank deposits;
  • managing accounts receivable;
  • operating and maintaining facility and program registration systems;
  • maintaining timesheets and supporting payroll processing; and
  • providing administrative support to the director and departmental staff as required.
  • Applicants must possess a post-secondary office or business administration diploma or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Relevant experience in a municipal work environment is considered an asset.
Additional Information
The current salary for this position is $24.16 per hour for a 40 hour work week plus 4% vacation pay.
