THE ROLEThe Aerobics Instructor plans, organizes, and delivers aerobic classes. They demonstrate and instruct aerobic and recreational activities and techniques. They assemble supplies and equipment such as music, as required. They prepare class schedules and design programs.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications, and Licenses
High school diploma and some years of experience conducting aerobics classes
Aerobics Instructors Certification
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering aerobic classes
In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
