Description:
Harrington Mechanical is a Pembroke-based contractor handling piping and plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and other on-site service for primarily commercial clients. We oversee projects for organizations that can include installation and maintenance. Our employees work frequently with other trades in the area on local projects to see them through to successful completion.

 

We are recruiting for a Bookkeeper-Administrative Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time position working eight hours per day, Monday to Friday.

 

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of daily accounting using Sage 50 accounting program
  • Answer customer inquiries via telephone
  • Complete banking requests
  • Complete Excel spreadsheets
  • Use MS Word to type quotations
  • Coordinate meetings and appointments for the president of the company
  • Complete normal daily office activities
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Adept with general computer use, email and the internet
  • Live within 30 minutes of Pembroke
  • Knowledge of the construction industry bookkeeping practices is an asset (i.e. Stat Decs, holdbacks and CCDC 11)
