CNR Bookkeeping has been serving the bookkeeping and income tax needs of Pembroke, Petawawa and area for over 25 years. We have a fast-growing client list and we are looking to add to our team.

We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper-Tax Preparer. This is a full-time position and is available immediately.

Responsibilities of this position:

  • Prepare and file personal and business tax returns
  • Assist clients with tax-related questions and concerns
  • Stay up-to-date on tax rules and regulations
  • Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll remittances
  • Administer monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare balance sheets and income statements
  • Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Submit government remittances including payroll deductions, HST, WSIB
  • Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements
  • Prepare weekly payroll and timesheets
  • Daily communications with clients by phone, email or in-person meetings
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and highly trustworthy
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks, Excel and Tax Cycle
  • Flexibility to travel between Pembroke and Petawawa offices as needed
  • Willing to travel to client work locations
  • Familiar with Quebec filings and bookkeeping rules and regulations
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
