CNR Bookkeeping has been serving the bookkeeping and income tax needs of Pembroke, Petawawa and area for over 25 years. We have a fast-growing client list and we are looking to add to our team.
We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper-Tax Preparer. This is a full-time position and is available immediately.
Responsibilities of this position:
- Prepare and file personal and business tax returns
- Assist clients with tax-related questions and concerns
- Stay up-to-date on tax rules and regulations
- Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll remittances
- Administer monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare balance sheets and income statements
- Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Submit government remittances including payroll deductions, HST, WSIB
- Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements
- Prepare weekly payroll and timesheets
- Daily communications with clients by phone, email or in-person meetings

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and highly trustworthy
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks, Excel and Tax Cycle
- Flexibility to travel between Pembroke and Petawawa offices as needed
- Willing to travel to client work locations
- Familiar with Quebec filings and bookkeeping rules and regulations
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
