Job Description
Position: 5 Days a Week May to September with the possibility of part time work beyond that time frame
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Property Manager in onsite projects as assigned and be able to self-direct
Repair and replace equipment and materials as needed
Clean and maintain camp buildings (interior and exterior) including washrooms and showers when needed
Assist with landscaping of grounds and maintenance of equipment
Maintenance and technical repair of property equipment as needed
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Complete a Criminal Reference Check upon hiring
Minimum 3-5 years experience and demonstrated track record in maintenance and repair
Have working knowledge and experience with construction and basic trade skills
Ability to problem solve unique issues relating to a camp
Ability to operate a riding lawn mower, tractor and chainsaw
Physical strength and stamina are essential, as the job entails manual labor in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions.
Must enjoy working with people, work well as a member of a team as well as with third party contractors
Communicate clearly
Describe required work
ensure quality and completeness when contracted work is done
Must demonstrate self-guidance and initiative
Must have a good work ethic – be a hard worker who is self-motivated
Environmentally focussed mind – helping camp move forward in decreasing its environmental footprint
