Career Opportunity – Community Development Officer
The Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation (RCCFDC) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Community Development Officer to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Development Officer is responsible for community economic development initiatives including grant applications, marketing, special program delivery, and bilingual programming.

As our new Community Development Officer, you focus on high-value collaborations, you have a strategic mindset and a desire to bring new ideas to the table. This role is an integral part of a close-knit team committed to helping businesses and organizations flourish.
About Us
RCCFDC is a bilingual, provincially incorporated non-profit organization. Governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, RCCFDC is committed to fostering entrepreneurial opportunities and driving economic growth in Renfrew County. Our operations are funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) as part of the Community Futures Program. We adopt a grassroots approach, crafting local solutions and investing in entrepreneurs and community initiatives that address the unique challenges of our local economy.
Our organization serves all of Renfrew County, including the City of Pembroke and the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan. We currently have two office locations, one in Pembroke and one in Renfrew.
The Community Development Officer works primarily out of the Renfrew satellite office. We currently offer a hybrid workplace, with a compressed 4-day workweek; two days in the office and two days remote work. Preferred Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in business/commerce, economic development, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a community development or economic development role, preferably within the non-profit or economic development sector.
• Economic Development designation is considered an asset.
• Experience in working within set budgets, project management, grant-writing, KPI monitoring, and public speaking.
• Strong interpersonal skills related to Board Directors, funders, coworkers, organization partners, the business community, and the general public
• Bilingual (English/French) competence is desirable as we are a designated bilingual CFDC
• Ability to travel as may be required
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is between $66,871 and $76,876. We offer a compressed 4-day workweek, 2 days/week remote work, attractive benefits, vacation and flex time, and enrollment in the OMERS pension plan.
