Cook-Dietary Aide

Marianhill is currently recruiting for a Cook-Dietary Aide. This is a full-time position.

Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager, the Cook assists with the provision of resident care. Duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s mission statement, established policies and procedures, current legislation and in a manner that respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of our residents to promote maximum independence.

• Grade 12 education
• Cook certificate of qualification issued by the Ministry of Education of Colleges and Universities of Ontario
• Food service worker certification course approved by Dieticians of Canada and the Ontario Society of Nutrition Management
• Completion of a current certificate of the food handler certification program offered by the public health department
• One year of experience in an institutional kitchen setting or related organization
• Oral and written proficiency in English is required; oral and written proficiency in French is an asset
• Excellent attendance is essential
