Job Description:
Cordially greets the customer and promotes customer loyalty. Assesses the needs of the customer and provides clear and professional advice on the products within the different departments. Demonstrates products, emphasizing sales features, and recommends to customers other products they may also need in the course of the project. Looks after merchandising of the store, including, but not limited to, shelf displays, product labeling, signage, locating and relocating, etc. Taking special requests and making suggestions to customers. Keeps abreast of the development of new products and their uses. Understands and has a good knowledge of all areas of the store. Any other related duties as required.
Requirements:
Friendly, enthusiastic, and well-organized. Must be capable of working in a team environment. Self-motivated and able to take initiative and make decisions. Understands the importance of good customer service. Flexible availability: days, evenings, and weekends Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Minimally must be able to lift 20 pounds without assistance; may lift over 20 pounds with or without assistance Proficient with computers and able to learn new software. Retail, sales or customer service experience is a great asset. Construction or home renovation is an asset Acceptable attendance record.
