THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
requires a
DIGITAL SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST
SCHOOL:
Board Administration Office, Pembroke
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week, 12 months per year
TERM:
Permanent, Full-time
RATE:
$29.40-$30.21 per hour (Group 8)

POSITION SUMMARY:
A key member of the ICT Department, the Digital Solutions Specialist is responsible for developing, supporting and updating the district’s websites and communication solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Two year post-secondary education in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of two years recent related experience in programming or web development required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Website development expertise and technical skills in digital solutions, HTML with some programming experience;
? General understanding of web applications and programming languages;
? Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functionality and standards;
? Assist in development and maintenance of other digital solutions across the district;
? Maintain and troubleshoot support requests for website, signage and other communication solutions;
? Train and/or assist staff with technical support as required;
? Ensure that all website content is compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA);
? Track and evaluate new standards, technologies and trends in website development, design and
delivery;
? Lead and coordinate third-party vendors;
? Perform other related duties as assigned by the ICT Manager;
? Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing;
? Work effectively independently as well as in a team environment;
? Strong organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail; and
? Valid Ontario Class G Drivers’ License and access to an insured vehicle for travel to district sites.
