Description:
Smitty’s Home Hardware in Pembroke is a family-owned and operated building supply company. Our building services include delivery of lumber, trim and moulding, drywall and panelling, windows and doors, masonry, flooring and more.

 

We are currently recruiting for a DZ-AZ Delivery Driver. This is a full-time position.

 

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products and supplies to customers. Duties include:

 

  • operating freight-handling equipment,
  • maintaining and operating company vehicles,
  • preparing orders,
  • shipping customers,
  • verifying administrative paperwork, and
  • working with the public.
Qualifications
  • DZ or A licence
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Able to operate manual transmission trucks
  • A positive attitude and a solid work ethic
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work safely and efficiently while ensuring the accuracy of orders
  • Comfortable communicating with customers, management and other employees
