St Joseph Non-Profit Housing is a provincially incorporated non-profit organization, with registered charitable status. It is governed by a local volunteer board of directors, focused on ensuring the ongoing viability of the organization and responding to future growth opportunities as they arise. The organization provides rent-geared-to-income and affordable rental options to eligible seniors and to low-income households in our broader community.

Our current rental assets include 90 one-bedroom apartments for seniors and 50 family rental units of varying sizes in a configuration of townhouses. Our organization is located in Pembroke in the heart of the Ottawa Valley.

The Role

Come and lead our St. Joseph Non-Profit Housing Corporation team. The St Joseph Non-Profit Housing Corporation is currently accepting applications for an Executive Director. This is a full-time position.

Our current Executive Director will be retiring in early fall. We’re looking for our next visionary leader to step into this role, build on our organizational legacy and continue to provide sustainable housing options in our community. Our team is passionate about supporting the ever-evolving housing needs of our local residents by ensuring a healthy and sustainable rental inventory to address the growing need for affordable housing in our community.

As our new Executive Director, you will lead, inspire, enable, and empower the organization to face the evolving challenges confronting our tenants and our current assets. Reporting to our board, you will have full responsibility for the planning, establishing, and reporting of goals, objectives, and policies as established with the board, as well as taking corrective actions as required. You will have demonstrated a strong capability to both develop and maintain strong partnerships with community agencies, funders, government bodies, politicians, and the community.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in finance or business
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated non-profit housing and tenant management experience
  • Experience in preparing and overseeing budgets, and assessing investment opportunities to support current business operations and potential growth
  • Solid relationship and interpersonal skills related to board, employees, organization partners, and the general public
  • Strong English communication skills are required; competence in French would be an asset
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $82,500-$102,500 per annum supported by a full benefits package.
