Key Responsibilities

 Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Grocery department

 Champion customer service and satisfaction through consistent application of store processes and standards.

 Meet financial targets and increase sales through effective merchandising techniques, suggestive selling and attractive displays.

 Ensure achievement of the departmental budget through an emphasis on: maximizing gross profit and managing wage costs, operational expenses and inventory/shrinkage.

 Receive product and coordinate backroom deliveries  Stock rotation, pricing and shelf labelling

 Adhere to strict cleaning schedule ensuring a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards

 Adhere to company standards and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.

 Execute merchandising programs including ownership for maintenance, communication and assistance in execution of store plan-o-grams.

 Responsible for all aspects of Employee relations including training and the on-going development and motivation of the team.

 Ensure the safety of all staff and customers.

 Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

 Previous Management Experience

 Product/Service knowledge

 Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building leadership and customer loyalty

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Able to lift up to 50lbs

 Able to work as a member of a team and support the execution of team goals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

 Knowledge of computer applications (STAS, SAP, and Microsoft Applications) would be an asset.

 Full availability including a minimum of one evening per week and weekend rotation.
