About The Role:

We are recruiting for an Industrial Cleaner. This is a full-time position working 6:30am-3:00pm or 7:30am-4:00pm Monday to Friday.  Schedule may vary based on the needs of the business and may include evening or weekend shifts.

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the entire facility, including the warehouse, offices, bathrooms, kitchen, distribution center, production rooms, and outdoor areas.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Follow the schedule for monthly plant cleaning and sanitation for all areas of the facility
• Operate a commercial floor cleaner and industrial vacuum cleaner to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from all floors in the facility
• Keep outdoor areas, primarily the front door and patio area, free of garbage; sweep, shovel and spread salt as needed
• Use a ladder to clean and sanitize surfaces, ceiling areas and to remove and clean light fixtures
• Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, counters, wall fixtures, light switches, door stops, binder holders, fire extinguishers, doorknobs, desks chairs, and filing cabinets
• Use commercial laundry machines to clean linens
• Collect and empty trash cans, recycle bins, and other waste containers
• Receive, unpack, and put away supply orders
• Other duties as assigned and cross-training provided to support all operations

Complete Job Description

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing facility cleaning is preferred
• Basic level math skills
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions and apply information
• Possess basic computer skills to complete mandatory training, access payroll software, and enter timecards
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel
• Working knowledge of SharePoint is an asset
• Fluent in English (verbal and written proficiency)
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Willing to adhere to health and safety standards, policies, and procedures
