We are recruiting for an Infrastructure Coordinator. This is a full-time position.

Reporting to the Manager of Capital Works, the Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the annual inspection programs for public works assets, the development and maintenance of long-range capital asset management plans, and the development asset maintenance programs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Development and administration of the county’s long-range public works infrastructure planning program.
  • Development and administration of the county’s long-range public works maintenance program.
  • Development and administration of the county’s long-range fleet management program.
  • Administration of contracts with consultants and contractors required to support the asset management activities.
  • Coordination of databas and GIS integration for public works assets.
  • Department liaison for corporate asset management functions.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of Public Sector Accounting Board requirements.
  • Assist other departments in developing asset management programs and procedures.
  • Performs the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in the applicable provincial and municipal Acts.
  • Performs the responsibilities of the position consistent with the operational policies of the County of Renfrew.
  • Protects own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety.
  • Follows all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications
  • Equivalent to a college diploma in civil engineering technology supplemented with job specific courses in public works.
  • Relevant experience preferably in the municipal environment.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software, including databases, spreadsheets and GIS experience.
  • Sound understanding of lifecycle management for municipal public works assets (i.e. roads, bridges, equipment, facilities, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability in the development of long-range capital works and operational programs.
  • Working knowledge of road and bridge inspection procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
  • Valid class G driver’s license.
