St. Francis Herb Farm, located in Barry’s Bay, is seeking to hire an experienced and passionate Junior Graphic Designer. This is a full-time position that is open to candidates interested in onsite, remote, or hybrid work arrangements. Whether you’re looking for a full-time office presence, a fully remote role, or a blend of home and office, we’re here to support the approach that works best for you.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and layout marketing materials to support St. Francis Herb Farm retail customers including POP, sell sheets, printed and electronic product sheets, display materials, and more.
- Layout both printed and digital product monographs for use on our website in support of our professional customers including naturopathic doctors.
- Design and produce digital, video, animated, and printed marketing collateral for advertising, websites, email campaigns, social media, and other channels.
- Produce assets to be used in training materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
- Create and produce JPEGs, PDFs, thumbnail images, and other design elements.
- Create printed and electronic page layouts using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Participate in marketing strategic planning meetings on a project-by-project basis.
- Coordinate and maintain a shared library of photography, graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content.
- Cross train to back up and assist with labels and packaging.

- University degree or college diploma in graphic design or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with a style and brand guide.
- Strong communication skills, verbal, visual and written, for copywriting and internal communications.
- Ability to typeset in French or other languages.
- Bilingual (French) is an asset.
- Experience in Adobe Premier is an asset.
- Reliable home internet connection (required for hybrid or remote role).
- Successful candidate must be available to work during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time (EST).

- Solid design, aesthetic, and conceptual skills.
- Well-versed in the latest graphic design methods, practices, techniques, and associated principles.
- Skilled at using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams during the workday.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Great communication skills; you are not afraid to ask questions to better understand the goals of a project.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills lending to your ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- You take initiative by applying feedback and experiences to constantly improve.
