We currently have an opening for a Moulding Team Lead. This is a full-time position.
Reporting to the Logistics and Value Add Manager, the Moulding Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the moulding department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal uptime of plant operations, fostering team growth, and promoting a safe, healthy work environment through team building, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, timely reporting and recordkeeping regarding plant production.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, lab, and maintenance departments.
  • Supervise department personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and expectations.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and foster development through coaching, counseling, and providing constructive feedback to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Review vacation and absence requests, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs in alignment with production demands.
  • Model company core values and promote a positive team culture.
  • Direct and coordinate the production department, focusing on safety, quality, cost, efficiency, training, and continuous process improvement (CPI).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating basis.
  • Ability to manage tasks in environments involving heights, confined spaces, dust, heat, and noise.

 

Preferred:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with metric and standard measurements.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
