Barry’s Bay Home Hardware is looking to expand our team of valued professionals! We are currently recruiting for an Office Assistant. This is a part-time contract position to cover a maternity leave. This position will run 12-18 months with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process incoming invoices from vendors.
• Verify and match invoices to proper purchase orders.
• Prepare and issue payments.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare data and reports.
• Arrange staff accommodations.
• Work with managers to create staff schedules.
• Assist with general office administration duties such as filing, data entry and allocating.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• An additional office administrative certificate or diploma would be an asset.
• Previous office assistant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
