Shipper/Receiver
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for performing warehousing activities, inventory control, and recordkeeping. Rush Truck Centres of Canada opens the door to the world of opportunity. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
Shipping Duties:
- Ensure outgoing products are as stated on invoices and are in good, sellable condition.
- Load trucks for parts transfer as required.
- Package and skid all shipments that will be picked up by common carriers.
- Ensure all paperwork, bills of lading, courier forms, customs documents, hazardous forms, etc. are filled out completely and accurately.
- Operate a forklift or use a hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from Shipping-Receiving, storage, or work area onto transport vehicles or trailers.
- Assist with bin maintenance and cycle counting when required.
Receiving Duties:
- Count and/or measure all incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, and/or packing slips.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the inventory group to rectify/claim for damages and shortages.
- Operate a forklift or use a hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from the shipping-receiving area to the storage or work area.
- The post received items into SAP inventory and print receiving reports.
- Review receiving reports against bills of lading, invoices, and/or packing slips to ensure accurate posting.
- Ensure all parts that remain in the building have a proper bin location and location entered in SAP.
- Assist with bin maintenance and cycle counts when required.
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift, Raymond Reach is an asset – operator certificate preferred.
- Valid G Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Tow motor and Forklift Certificate
- Heavy lifting is required.
- Solid customer service and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Professional personal appearance.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal Record Check.
- Drivers Abstract.

Hourly Wage Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 / hour
