DESCRIPTION

As per our name, Valley Window and Door started out specializing in windows and door system installations. Over the years, reflecting the Ottawa Valley’s four-season lifestyle we expanded our product line to include a full range of sunrooms from economical to top-of-the-line. With the ever-increasing popularity of seasonal outdoor living, we’ve also become known for installing custom decks, railings, awnings and canopies.

Valley Window and Door is currently recruiting for a Skilled Laborer. This is a full-time position.

Position Summary:

The Labourer will assist carpenters with decks, railings, siding and window and door installations. Working as part of a crew, the labourer will be on site to assist with carpentry-related installations that range from small to large projects. Almost 100 per cent of the work will be at a customer’s home or cordage property.

Valley Window & Door stands behind our products and workmanship for customers. The person best suited for this position will be someone who values doing good work and getting things right the first time.

This position is Monday to Friday with approximate work hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm. No weekend or holiday work is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in building decks, railings, siding and general renovations
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • A track record of superior workmanship
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Keep a clean and tidy construction environment out of respect for our homeowners

The following would be assets to this position:

  • Window and Door trim carpentry experience
  • Knowledge of sunrooms
  • Carpentry licence
  • Working at Heights certificate
