SUMMARY: Provides courteous and efficient service to patrons in the preparation

of foods, beverages, and other snack bar items. Interacts with customers on a daily basis,

promptly responding to all requests in a courteous and efficient manner.

Responsible for the quality and consistency of food items being sold. Applies

exemplary customer relation skills that promote a superior company image. Ensure

accuracy of cash float and inventory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):

  • Exemplify Delta Bingo’s Core Values: Community, Innovation & Leadership
  • Work co-operatively with co-workers and charity members.
  • Operate with cash float and inventory of Red 7 items.
  • Balance cash float at the end of the shift.
  • Take and prepare customer orders in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Replenish inventory as required, including packaged food displays, and drink dispensers to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Monitor waste and spoilage.
  • Keep snack bar equipment, surfaces, utensils, condiment counter, and dining area clean at all times.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding bingo programs, café, promotions, and any other product or service offered at Delta Bingo & Gaming.
  • Immediately refer customer concerns to the Food & Beverage supervisor or the session manager.
  • Immediately report potential safety hazards to the Food & Beverage supervisor and the session manager.
  • Undertake other tasks and ‘utility’ duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Comply with Sudbury Delta Bingo & Gaming dress code.
  • Behave in a professional manner (e.g. Refrain from the use of foul language).
  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts.
  • Demonstrate teamwork attitude through such things as willingness to cover shifts

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation practices is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
