We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk, Finance. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Accounting Clerk-Finance is responsible for various accounting duties including:

• Providing back-up for payroll functions
• Assisting the Director of Finance and Administration in the preparation of periodic financial reports.
• Performing duties in accordance with Marianhill’s mission statement, established policies, procedures and current legislation.

• Two-year community college diploma in business administration with a focus on accounting or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience with payroll and payroll software, preferably Quadrant Workforce.
• Experience working with accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP and Report Writer.
• Can enforce and maintain accounting practices and internal controls.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel including experience creating pivot tables.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.
• Oral and written proficiency in French is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize firm deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent attendance.
• Physical capability to perform the current physical demands for this position.

You will be required to provide an original, clear vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and be able to sign a declaration at the time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the employer and you must participate in the N95 mask fit testing program as applicable.
