M&R Feeds & Farm Supply is an agricultural and rural living supply store. We offer high-quality agricultural supplies, farm products, consumer goods, pet supplies, and lawn and garden supplies. M&R Feeds works hard to provide competitive pricing, quality products and informed customer service. We have locations in Micksburg, Pembroke and Shawville.

We are currently recruiting for a friendly, self-motivated Assistant Manager for our Pembroke location. This is a full-time, permanent position working 5-6 days per week.

Duties of the Position:

  • Assist the store manager in overseeing daily store operations
  • Supervise, train, and support fellow staff
  • Ensure excellent customer service and product knowledge in-the store, on the phone and by email
  • Manage inventory, including restocking, ordering, receiving, and organizing feed and farm supplies
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store and yard
  • Open and close the store as scheduled
  • Handle the cash register, sales transactions, and daily deposits
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary
  • Assist customers and staff with loading and receiving products
  • Merchandise products and assist with store displays
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have agricultural knowledge, retail experience and strong leadership skills. In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Agricultural and retail sales experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to handle cash and be bondable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (POS system, Microsoft Word, Excel, email, etc.)
  • Physically capable of lifting 55-pound bags
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask
  • Being bilingual (French and English) is an asset
Additional Information
The wage for this position will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant but will be no less than $25.00 per hour. Only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
