Role summary
Spartan Wellness is a 100% virtual integrative medical clinic focused on veterans and first responders. We are looking for a Community Care Outreach & Marketing Coordinator to lead our community-facing activities, build partnerships, and run events that connect clients with care and supports. This role combines event management, community outreach, and business development to grow awareness, recruit volunteers and ambassadors, and strengthen relationships with veteran and first responder groups across Canada.
Key responsibilities
•Plan, coordinate and deliver community events, workshops and outreach activities (virtual and in-person) that promote Spartan Wellness services.
•Manage logistics for events, including venue booking, vendors, registrations, AV, staffing and event budgets.
•Build and maintain relationships with community partners, veteran organizations, first responder groups, municipal stakeholders and sponsors.
•Identify business development opportunities, prepare partnership proposals, and follow up to secure sponsorships or co-sponsored events.
•Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers and ambassadors for events and outreach campaigns.
•Develop and produce clear event collateral, rack cards, briefings and post-event reports for internal and external stakeholders.
•Track and report event metrics, referral outcomes and community engagement data to inform strategy.
•Represent Spartan Wellness professionally at public events and in partner meetings including public speaking, podcast interviews and webinars.
•Work with clinical and operations teams to ensure appropriate clinical coverage, privacy protection and patient referral pathways for event attendees.
•Maintain accurate records, contact lists and consent documentation.
•Co-create with marketing and social media teams with content ideas, event promotion and ambassador activation.
Qualifications
•3+ years experience in community outreach, events coordination or partnership development, preferably in health care, veteran services or non-profit sectors.
•Demonstrated experience planning, running and evaluating in-person and virtual events.
•Strong understanding of veteran and first responder communities, or demonstrable experience working with similar groups. Knowledge of Veterans Affairs processes is a strong asset.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
•Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, community leaders, volunteers and senior executives.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for events.
•Must be Canadian citizen living in Canada.
•Proficiency with event platforms, CRM systems, Marketing Automations, Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and basic graphic tools is preferred (Canva, etc..).

•Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and cultural sensitivity, with trauma-informed approach to veteran mental health.
•Results oriented, with experience turning events into measurable referrals, leads or partnerships.
•Demonstrates a self-starter attitude, consistently digging deep to find creative solutions and showing resourcefulness in overcoming challenges.
•Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and as part of a small, mission-driven team.
•Basic budget management skills and attention to detail.
•Skilled at recruiting and motivating volunteers and ambassadors.
Working conditions
•Remote-first role with regular travel required (40%) for in-person events across Canada.
•Flexible schedule with evening and weekend commitments during event periods.
•Must pass required background checks and comply with privacy and confidentiality policies.
Key performance indicators
•Number of events executed on time and on budget.
•Attendance and engagement metrics per event.
•Number of qualified referrals or new patient sign-ups attributable to outreach.
•Sponsorship dollars or in-kind support secured.
•Volunteer and ambassador recruitment and retention rates.
•Partner satisfaction and number of active community partnerships.
