Description:
Delta Dental Centre has been in operation for over 30 years, providing a range of dental services to all ages, children to seniors.

We are currently recruiting for a Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday to Thursday, with no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Sets up and closes the dental operatory each day
  • Prepares solutions for use in clinic
  • Cleans and maintains dental equipment
  • Assists the dentist or dental hygienist in clinical duties at chairside
  • Processes, labels and files x-ray films
  • Provides prescribed dental health instruction to clients
  • Performs various clerical duties, checks records, consents and medical histories for completeness
  • Records findings in dental records and data processing forms
  • Receives and prepares patients for dental hygienist and dentist
Qualifications
  • Certified Dental Assistant Level 1 or 2; Level 2 preferred
  • HARP qualified
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
  • Knowledge and experience in dental asepsis procedures
  • Experience in conducting dental health presentations to children and seniors
  • Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in patient management
  • Ability to work as part of a team
