Job Description
Position: Bush Road Maintenance Worker & Heavy Equipment Operator
Hourly wage: $22/hour
Location: ZEC Dumoine, Rapides-des-Joachims, QC
Full-time – Seasonal position with possible renewal
Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on, and independent individual to maintain and repair bush roads throughout the ZEC Dumoine territory. The role involves safe operation of heavy equipment (grader, excavator, tractor, etc.), assessing damage from weather events, and conducting routine road maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain gravel roads (grading, filling, drainage).
Operate heavy machinery for brush clearing, road leveling, and general upkeep.
Identify and repair problem areas (ruts, blocked ditches, fallen trees, etc.).
Perform basic equipment maintenance and safety checks.
Perform physical labour – cutting trees, removing debris and brush cutting as necessary.
Work independently and as part of the on-site operations team.
Submit brief reports of completed work and any equipment/material needs.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
Experience operating heavy equipment (minimum 2 years recommended).
Familiarity with bush roads and rugged outdoor terrain.
Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or equivalent).
Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and show initiative.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in variable conditions.
Basic French an asset
