Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Field Mechanic to join our team in the agriculture industry. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural machinery and components to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. This role requires working independently in various environments to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
•       Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
•       Diagnose and repair all equipment sold by the dealership.
•       Recondition and repair machine systems and components.
•       Identify and implement solutions for customer service opportunities within the dealership’s service area.
•       Maintain up-to-date technical and product knowledge of dealership equipment.
•       Prepare all necessary reports and forms related to work assignments.
•       Conduct oneself professionally in the presence of customers to maintain a positive dealership image.
•       Perform additional duties as requested by the Service Manager.
•       Assist other departments to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
•       Participate in all relevant training programs.
•       Attend dealership meetings and functions.
•       Adhere to company policies and procedures outlined in manuals and the employee handbook.
•       Install and configure equipment based on specifications and customer requirements.
•       Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on various systems and machinery.
•       Respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site support.
•       Document all service activities, including repairs performed and parts used.
•       Train customers on proper equipment use and maintenance.
•       Maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts for service calls.
•       Collaborate with team members to improve service processes

Job Requirements
•       Journeyperson Certificate – Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET).
•       Strong mechanical skills with hands-on repair experience.
•       Own set of tools.
•       Strong computer skills for diagnostics and reporting.
•       Excellent customer service and communication skills.
•       Ability to assemble and perform maintenance on equipment.
•       Strong oral and written communication skills.
•       Excellent organizational skills.
•       Graduation from a diesel or agricultural technology program (preferred).
•       Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Compensation Type: Hourly
Compensation Amount: $35.00
