The ZEC Dumoine is the third largest nature controlled territory where people come to camp, fish, hunt , kayak, canoe and more. We are a not-for-profit who’s goal is to conserve and enable people to enjoy pure nature here in north-eastern Quebec.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lodge Attendant & Caretaker at ZEC Dumoine located in Rapides-des-Joachims, QC. The role involves daily tasks such as maintaining the lodge facilities, ensuring guest satisfaction, overseeing property upkeep, and assisting with visitor logistics and activities.
This job is ideal for a couple. One of you would also work p/t on road maintenance.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
– Customer service, Hospitality, and Property maintenance skills including cleaning before and after clients.
– Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively – ability to be self motivated and self sufficient
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Outdoor skills and knowledge of nature conservation
– Basic first aid and emergency response knowledge
– Experience in similar roles or in the hospitality industry
– Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor
– High school diploma or equivalent – not necessary if you have experience 3+ years
– Knowledge in propane, small motors (boat & generator) is a huge asset
– Bilingual is a must – French is the primary language of many of our clients but a basic level is acceptable.
