Manager – Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen Petawawa is looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who understands that managing a restaurant is about more than just running a shift. We need a strong leader who can develop a team, make good decisions, stay organized and help keep the restaurant running successfully day to day.

The exact management role and level of responsibility will depend on the successful candidate’s experience, strengths and overall fit with our team.

This is a hands on management position requiring open availability, including days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee day to day restaurant operations
• Train, coach and develop supervisors and team members
• Create a positive, productive and accountable work environment
• Help with scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing based on business needs
• Monitor labour and make adjustments based on sales and staffing needs
• Manage inventory, ordering and food cost
• Oversee cash handling, deposits and daily cash procedures
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness and Dairy Queen operational standards are consistently followed
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues appropriately
• Support new product launches, promotions and restaurant initiatives
• Identify problems and take action to resolve them
• Help improve sales, service, efficiency and overall restaurant performance
• Work alongside the team and lead by example

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous restaurant management experience is preferred
• Quick service restaurant experience is considered an asset
• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing employees
• Understanding of labour, scheduling, inventory and food cost
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to stay calm and lead effectively when things get busy
• Dependable, motivated and willing to jump in wherever needed
• Strong customer service skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
