Overview

Magellan Aerospace – Haley Division is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support quality, producibility, and continuous improvement for aerospace castings. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to reduce scrap, improve processes, and respond to shop floor issues in a fast paced foundry environment.
Key Responsibilities
•       Provide rapid response to shop floor concerns and support daily production needs
•       Monitor and improve scrap, weld, and rework performance for assigned castings
•       Conduct defect analysis and identify root causes
•       Maintain and update manufacturing techniques and provide training to production staff
•       Support Quality Clinic activities and follow up actions
•       Collaborate with Methods, Tooling, Quality, Process Engineering, Production, and Finance
•       Prepare reports and updates on assigned parts and improvement initiatives

Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
•       College diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technician/Technologist or related field
•       Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or foundry operations
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
•       Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality tools
•       Experience with Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and basic defect analysis
•       Proficiency with MS Office or equivalent
•       Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
•       Strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills
•       Works independently with minimal supervision
•       Maintains professionalism, accountability, and integrity
•       Comfortable in both office and plant floor environments
•       Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
Security Requirements:
•       We conduct a criminal Record Check on all new hires
•       We conduct a Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Check on all new hires; must be able to give 3 references to help verify your identity
Work Conditions:
•       Standard hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
•       Potential for future afternoon shift coverage based on business needs.
•       CSA approved footwear, safety glasses, ear protection, and other PPE required.
