Description:
Ali Shoughary, an ophthalmology clinic located in Pembroke and serving clients throughout the Upper Ottawa Valley, is recruiting for an Office Assistant-Technician. This position is part-time, working three days a week. The schedule is Monday (9:00am-5:00pm), Wednesday (8:30am-3:30p and Thursday (8:30am-5:00pm.)

 

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assisting the eye care professionals with taking measurements and testing
  • Checking vision of patients and providing some simple eye exam tests
  • Contacting patients for appointments, providing results and scheduling follow-ups
  • Uploading files to electronic medical records
  • Performing patient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
  • High school graduate with post-secondary education in administration as an asset; a combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Previous experience in a medical office, or with eye care, is an asset
  • Strong English language skills
  • Comfortable speaking to patients and assisting with their inquiries
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable and on time for shifts
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • An interest in learning new equipment and procedures

 

We provide full training for this role.
