JOB DUTIES: Troubleshoots computer hardware and software issues (desktops, laptops, MACs, Microsoft, Adobe)Receives and responds to service requests and problemsAcknowledges, prioritizes, tracks and documents service requests and problems and provides follow up notification to customers of the status of issuesConfigures, documents, upgrades, repairs and/or decommissions desktop and laptop computer hardware following standard operating practicesMaintains media presentation equipment and coordinates and assists end users with conference room equipment setup/disassemblyPerform Tier 1 troubleshooting for server/client applications and basic TCP/IP issuesAnalyses systems performance indicators to ensure efficient operationREQUIREMENTS: Completion of college diploma in computer technology1 – 2 years of previous work experience in a technology related role and/or trainingSelf-motivated, critical thinker with strong interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skillsPresent and maintain a composed, discreet and professional manner, and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced computerized environment;A valid drivers license in good standing with the Ministry of Transportation, and access to a reliable mode of transportation for travel among Board schools and offices; TO NOTE: Accessibility accommodations are available for all parts of the recruitment process upon request.
