Compensation for Primary Care Paramedics: $42.10 – $45.73/hour
Compensation for Advanced Care Paramedics: $46.31 – $50.32/hour
Qualifications
- Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (A-EMCA) certified;
- Successful completion of an approved Advanced Paramedic Program;
- Certified as an Advanced Care Paramedic in the Province of Ontario;
- Ability to meet all requirements of the Ambulance Act and related regulations, including being free from communicable diseases, having a clear criminal record and possess a Class F driver’s license with less than 6 demerit points;
- Knowledge of and ability to perform patient care at a high level of competency, including all Basic and Advanced Life Support Care Standards, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to work and thrive in a performance based Paramedic Service.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to comply and participate in Ministry, Service and Base Hospital education and reporting
- Demonstrate adherence to related policies and procedures for Advanced Care Paramedics employed in the Province of Ontario including knowledge and application of the Ambulance Act and related Regulations such as the Highway Traffic Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ministry of Health policies, procedures, guidelines, and specifications related to Ontario Paramedic Services.
- A post secondary degree is considered an asset.
